Product Manager - Trading Platform
Operations · London · Full-time · On-site
Annual base salary: £140,000 – £170,000 GBP
Own the product direction for internal trading tools used by traders, researchers, and engineers.
Role description
Westren Capital is a London-based proprietary trading firm specialising in digital asset markets. This role owns the product direction for internal trading tools and platforms used daily by traders, researchers, and engineers across the firm.
The users of what you build sit down the corridor, not across the internet. You'll hear directly, and immediately, when something doesn't work, which is the point.
Responsibilities
Define and own the roadmap for internal trading tools, dashboards, and platform capabilities used across trading and research teams
Work directly with traders, researchers, and engineers to understand real workflow friction, not assumed friction
Translate ambiguous or competing needs into clear, prioritised product requirements that engineering can actually build against
Drive projects from concept through to shipped, working software, staying involved through the parts that get complicated
Continuously gather feedback from internal users and use it to refine the product, rather than treating a launch as a finish line
Balance the needs of different internal teams (trading, quant, ops) where their priorities genuinely conflict
Requirements
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager, ideally on internal tools, trading platforms, or other technical, workflow-heavy products
Strong ability to work directly with technical stakeholders (engineers, quants, traders) and translate their needs accurately
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with incomplete requirements and shifting priorities
Some technical fluency (able to read code, understand system design at a high level) is expected, not optional
Understanding of trading workflows, market data, or financial systems is a strong advantage
Clear, direct communicator who can push back on a bad idea regardless of whose idea it was
